With support from BBC staff, teachers help students develop their journalistic skills and become School Reporters for a day.
A group of Year 8 pupils will learn six key points of becoming a journalist which include:
Finding the news
Gathering the news
Writing the news
Assembling the news
Putting the news in order
Broadcasting the news.
On the 11th March 2010 a number of schools across the nation will simultaneously broadcast live, ensuring deadlines are met and the day’s news is broadcast.

A group of our year 8 students worked together today to produce the 2010 BBC School Report. The report can be heard on the media player below.
Two pupils involved with the BBC School Report project were privileged to interview BBC News reader Huw Edwards. The interview is included in the main report but can be heard as a separate report by selecting the second track.
