Last Thursday evening, over 150 children from Fisher More received awards for their hard work and achievement. It was a lovely celebratory event enjoyed by all, parents, pupils, staff and governors at Fisher More. It also included the showcasing of some amazing talent here at Fisher More including dance drama and song. The major awards were presented by Mr Matthew Moulding, an ex-pupil of Fisher More who is the founder and CEO of ‘The Hut’ an online marketing company. We thank Matt for giving up his time to distribute the awards as well as speaking to us so inspiringly.
Pictured are some of the major award winners.
Harriet Crook – winner of the award in memory of Wil Handford, a former pupil of Fisher More. With this trophy comes a ‘once in a lifetime opportunity’ for the winner courtesy of Wil’s Wishes, a charity set up by Wil’s mum Karen in memory of her son. Harriet has chosen a laptop , digital camera and evening dress so she can be the official photographer at the Wil’s Wishes ball in August. We look forward to seeing her pictures in the summer!
Madeleine Callaghan-Aunger – winner of the Claire Addington ‘Growing in Faith Together' Award which had its inaugural presentation at the event with Mr and Mrs Sweeney, Claire’s mum and dad, present to see it in recognition of Madeleine’s work with the GIFT team this year.
Mariya Imran – winner of the ‘Matthew Moulding Award for Creativity and Enterprise’, again an inaugural presentation done by the man himself in recognition of Mariya’s significant contribution to fundraising in the school.
Also pictured is Grace Hall, one of our very talented dancers who performed on the night, with some of her trophies won in a recent dance competition. Well done, Grace!
