Post B: Monday to Friday – maximum 20 hours per week

Pendle’s only Football Foundation backed, full size 3G Astroturf is to open for school and community use in October 2017. This is the only full sized FIFA approved pitch in East Lancashire which is marked for 5, 7, 9 and 11 a-side football and will host a variety of FA programmes and fully support school and community club use.
We wish to appoint two enthusiastic, trustworthy and flexible individuals to join us at Fisher More and play an important part in the usage of our school facilities. We envisage that Post A will be working from 9.30am to 4.30pm on Saturdays and Sundays whilst Post B will be working from 6pm to 10pm Monday to Friday. The ability for both post-holders to cover each other at times of annual leave, etc is essential. Already the pitch is almost fully booked but we would require some flexibility on the part of the post-holders initially whilst the pitch use is developed. For this reason the employment for both posts is initially on a casual basis, but will be reviewed in 2018 once the facility has become established.
Duties include maintaining security and supervision of the site, operating a booking in and out system for hirers of the facilities, and assisting with the promotion and implementation of sports development programmes. The post-holders will also take care of the 3G Astroturf and Sports Hall, using equipment provided.
If you are interested in joining our school at this exciting time in its development, further information, including an application form, can be found on our website http://www/fishermore.lancs.sch.uk (News tab). For an informal chat about the role, please contact Mr Simon Atkin, Assistant Headteacher at the school. Letters of application outlining any relevant experience for the role and completed application forms should be submitted to the Headteacher by 3.30pm, Monday, 25th September 2017.
