Enrichment Week 20–22 June 2018
Enrichment Week: 20 – 22 June 2018
Our highly anticipated Enrichment Week is fast approaching, a week that has been designed to engage, inspire and motivate our students and enhance our formal curriculum. The Enrichment sessions will offer extra-curricular opportunities for students to extend their knowledge and understanding of, and improve their skills in, a range curriculum areas including creative, artistic and sporting activities. Enrichment is an essential part of the school’s teaching and learning programme, allowing extension beyond normal academic pursuits and requirements of the syllabus. Our Enrichment Week will give our staff the freedom to promote a love of learning in their subject above all else. Therefore, we will be collapsing the timetable for Enrichment Week so that students are able to experience exciting activities and develop new skills in ways that would take longer than the usual 50 minute lesson.
Through the support of all curriculum areas we are able to offer a range of activities to engage students as part of the overarching theme of Crime and Punishment. With this theme in mind we will allow students to attend school without their school tie and blazer or to wear a plain white polo shirt as an alternative during Enrichment Week. Polo shirts with a logo or pattern of any description will not be allowed. All other uniform regulations will remain in place. Rewards will be a key part of Enrichment Week and we will be holding a special rewards assembly to celebrate the success of our students shortly after Enrichment Week has concluded. Further information will be given directly to students through assemblies and form tutors.
I do hope your child will benefit from taking part in the special activities on offer. If you have any queries about Enrichment Week please do not hesitate to contact me, either by phone or by email: firstname.lastname@example.org
