  • Meet our Chaplain

    Published 26/09/18

My name is Mrs Sweeney and I am part-time RE teacher and part-time chaplain.

In my role as chaplain I plan whole school Masses with the local priests, staff and pupils. Throughout the year I lead each form in quiet reflection in the Chapel during form time as well as assisting them in preparing for form Masses and assemblies alongside their form teachers. This gives all pupils the opportunity to take part in the spiritual life of the school. I open chapel before school for staff reflection and during lunchtime for pupils

I am also responsible for coordinating the GIFT team. We now have GIFT team members in each year group who are happy to share their faith with others in our community by helping out during Mass and other religious services as well as helping in charity events. I am supported in this task by a dedicated group of teachers.

  • Come to Fisher More because...

    Published 20/09/18

...the teachers allow students to have an enjoyable experience whilst still having a fantastic education.  All of the teachers will go  out of their way to support us and ensure to let all of our bright colours shine.

The thing I like most about Fisher More is the connection students and teachers have whilst still having access to the best education.

My favourite lesson is maths because of the skills all the department have.  The fact that they will personally support you, give you GCSE-style questions to build you up and the immense amount of maths you learn makes Fisher More the best school.

My experience of Fisher More has been outstanding; I have made so many friends and have progressed from a lower ability set to the highest.  Thank you family Fisher More!
