Letter to Year 11 - 6 April
6 April 2020
I am writing to give you an update on the impact of COVID19 on the school and Year 11.
As far as the summer results are concerned, we expect more information after Easter when teaching staff will be asked for predicted grades by the examination boards. The information we have currently is available through the following link: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/how-gcses-as-a-levels-will-be-awarded-in-summer-2020?utm_source=68820985-2466-4b6a-806f-1666ceaad64d&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=govuk-notifications&utm_content=immediate
My advice to Year 11 is to keep working and submitting your work to your class teachers, so they can base their predicted grades on as much information as possible. Some students may wish to sit their examinations in September in college, so need to continue preparing for them.
Unfortunately, all trips, outings and sadly the Prom have now had to be cancelled and all monies owed will be paid back through ParentPay in the next few weeks. We are in the process of organising this for you now.
We are still planning to invite the Class of 2020 back into school for a celebration of the five years they have spent at Fisher More. Unfortunately, we cannot set a date for this currently. The date we have been given for the availability of exam results is July 2020.
I will keep you all updated with any relevant information the school receives going forward.
