Year 6 Transition
Welcome Letter to Year 6
Mr Crabtree Director of Progress Year 7
Hello Year 6 and a huge welcome to Fisher More High School,
My name is Mr Crabtree and I will be your Director of Progress when you arrive at Fisher More in September. I am here to help guide you through your first year at high school and answer any questions you may have along the way, whilst also looking at the progress you are each making.
Normally, at this time of year I would be visiting all your primary schools to talk to you about your journey to high school and what to expect when you arrive. As we know, this year has turned out differently to the way we all expected. As you won’t get the chance to visit school and enjoy the taster days that we would normally run, we will be offering different virtual opportunities for you to get to know our school community before you arrive, ready to go in September!
I have enlisted the help of a top team of our current Year 7s to give me a hand in welcoming you all to our Fisher More family. One of the most important questions many of you may have is about what usually happens when you arrive for your first day of high school? Well, who better to tell you all about what to expect than some of our current Year 7 pupils. From tomorrow (Tuesday 23 June 2020) you will be able to click on a link on our website that will take you to a welcome letter that has been personally written by each of our Year 7 pupils:
Luke Irons – came to Fisher More from St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School
Freya Davies – came to Fisher More from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Primary School
Tristan Fitzpatrick - came to Fisher More from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Primary School
Joshua Bhatti – came to Fisher More from St John Southworth Roman Catholic Primary School
Lily Finnan – came to Fisher More from Holy Saviour Roman Catholic Primary School
Macey Shian – came to Fisher More from Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Primary School
Hopefully, these letters will help to give you some idea about what to expect on your first day and who is here to help. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you all in September; keep an eye on our school website for a virtual tour of the school which will give you an opportunity to take a good look around the building and various classrooms.
Take care, Year 6, and I look forward to meeting you all very soon.
