Let all our bright
colours shine.

School Synergy

We are introducing a new system to improve communication between parents/carers and the school.

The new system is called School Synergy which is a web-based solution, to help manage communication between home and school.  With School Synergy, school news and information specific to your child is shared in real time.

Once the rollout is complete Synergy will be replacing the GroupCall messaging system and Class Charts for homework.  The system will also allow you to view all achievement, behaviour and attendance logged for your child on your own portal.  There will also be access to correspondence such as letters and notices, providing information to all, as well as personal documents such as school progress reports and any other extra documentation that you need to be made aware of.

As this is a new system with lots of functionality, it will be introduced in stages.  In the first stage we will be asking parents/carers to sign up to School Synergy so they can access their child’s portal, allowing you to access personal documents such as academic test results and progress reports.  In the current situation there is an increased need for correspondence to be sent home regularly and this will provide an efficient tracked method to ensure you are receiving all the information you require.   This will also allow information to be sent in a richer more concise format than a simple text.

Synergy will send you a notification when new documents are available on the portal.  The preferred method of communication will be via email, with text only used as a backup, or as a priority method for emergencies and to inform you of attendance matters i.e. your child is absent from school today.  To allow this system to work, it is important we have the most up to date email for your child’s primary contact.  Where an email address is not available, messages will be sent via the text backup method.  When you receive a notification there will be a link to click on in the body of the message, as the initial message is just informing you that a new message is available on the portal and will not contain the actual message.  The link is a secure link to the actual message and will not require you to log onto Synergy unless you need to access documents from the portal.

Please see the attached flyer for more information regarding the Parent Portal.  We will be rolling out this service a year group at time and will keep parents/carers up to date as more features become available.
