Letter from Ms Hayes 24th March 2021
24 March 2021
Dear Parents and Carers
As spring term 2021 comes to a close on Thursday at 3pm, I am writing to thank you and praise the children for the way they have returned to school over the last few weeks. All children engaged so positively with their COVID testing and I ask you to continue to test using the kit provided by school. We have now been informed by the DfE to continue with the twice-weekly testing over the Easter holidays and have received a lot more testing kits in preparation for this. It is really important that a test is done on the Sunday before school re-opens on Monday 12 April 2021.
It has been a pleasure to visit classrooms over the last couple of weeks and see the great teaching and learning going on; pupils have quickly engaged with their learning in all areas of the curriculum. I am glad to say that Fisher More certainly feels like a real school again. It is the people that make and shape the school community and we have missed having all our staff and children consistently with us over the last year.
Our main focus this half term has been getting all the pupils back and re-establishing all our high expectations and routines. Moving forward next term, we would like all children to return in full school uniform. Hooded tops are not part of our school uniform policy, neither are extreme hair colours. If you would support us by sending the children back after the holidays bearing this in mind, I would be very grateful.
I wish you all a very happy and holy Easter and hope you and your children have time to rest and relax over the holidays. Stay safe and well.
