Year 11 End of Year Plans
As your child comes to the end of their time at Fisher More, I would like to take this opportunity to thank them all for their hard work and commitment over the years. The last few weeks have been extremely busy with assessments for the year group; I would like to thank them for their exemplary conduct during this time.
I would like to make you aware of some key dates over the coming weeks and months. Firstly, on Thursday 27 May 2021, the year group will be having their end of year photographs taken; this will include a full year group picture which will be available to purchase. Pupils must adhere to our full school uniform and appearance policy to be able to be included on this photograph.
School for Year 11 will finish on Friday 28 May 2021. We will hold a special celebratory assembly for the students during the morning and they will be leave school by 12 noon. Up until this date, pupils should attend school as normal. Class teachers will be covering content that may have been missed due to lockdown and this will help assist their transition into post-16 education.
The Yearbook is due to be sent for print in early June and will be available for collection before the end of the summer term. The final date to purchase a Yearbook is Friday 28 May 2021. All payments should be made through ParentPay. We do not order any spare copies and no additional orders can be placed after this date.
Finally, we have planned an outside celebration to mark the end of the students’ time with us at Fisher More. It will take place on Wednesday 30 June 2021 from 3.30pm to 6pm. We have done our utmost to make this an inclusive event for all pupils in the year group who are invited and that would like to attend we will not be charging. I do have to stress that this is not a traditional prom as we would have liked to have arranged, but a celebratory evening with food and refreshments provided to allow staff and pupils time to reflect on their last five years with us at Fisher More. Unfortunately, we were unable to run a traditional prom due to the uncertain and ever-changing nature of Covid19 restrictions. As the event is scheduled for outside, we advise against formal wear and ask pupils to dress in smart/casual attire for the evening. No sportswear will be allowed.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support during the last two years as Progress Leader for the “Class of 2021”. They are a fantastic year group who have taken this unprecedented situation in their stride; for this they should all be commended; they have done the Fisher More family proud.
