Remote Learning - Monday 10 January 2022
Unfortunately, due to the number of staff absences we are experiencing, we have had to make the decision that from Monday 10 January 2022 one year group each day will move to remote learning from home. This is not a decision we have taken lightly and we have done our best to keep the school functioning as normal, but we have now reached the point where there are simply not enough staff (or supply teachers to cover) to have our full cohort in school every day. As such, from Monday, a year group will learn from home each day as follows:
Monday – Year 11
Tuesday – Year 10
Wednesday – Year 9
Thursday – Year 8
Friday – Year 7
This arrangement will be reviewed regularly, and as soon as we are able to accommodate all pupils in school, we will revert to face to face teaching for all.
Can I also take this opportunity to remind pupils to wear masks in school, including classrooms. The rapid spread of the Omicron variant has become very evident in these first few days back in school and we must do all we can to keep ourselves and each other safe. Please continue with twice-weekly testing and if your child has any symptoms, perform a lateral flow test and only send them to school if a negative result is received.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
