Vacancy - Teaching Assistant Level 3
Grade: 6, points 11 to 19 (£22,129 - £25,927 pro rata, pay award pending)
Term time only plus 5 Inset days
Contract: Permanent/32.5 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our established SEND team. SpLD and an ASD qualification (or a willingness to undergo training) are a distinct advantage.
The main duty of the role will be to lead intervention programmes with small groups of pupils, to work with teachers in a collaborative way, to meet the social and curriculum needs of pupils, and to support pupils who display challenging behaviour or are vulnerable to social, emotional, academic or behavioural exclusion.

• Is confident in supporting vulnerable pupils
• Is friendly and approachable
• Is a solid team player
• Has the skill-set to work independently
• Has excellent communication skills
• Has the ability to work with children and their families in a sensitive and positive way
• Has planning, organisational and IT skills
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic and will have a flexible approach to the tasks they undertake. The position will be ideally suited to someone with previous experience working within a busy school environment.
