Pupil Behaviour

20 April 2017

Dear Parents/Carers

As part of our continuing work to maintain the very high standards in our school, the leadership and staff of Fisher More RC High School are writing to remind parents and carers of the high expectations that we have regarding the way children behave in the local community.

During last half term, the school received a number of complaints from local residents regarding increasing amounts of litter.  In addition, there have been a small number of anti-social incidents involving some of our pupils using the local shops including ASDA.  As a school, we always respond to any issues that occur in our local community and consistently remind our pupils about how they should act responsibly when travelling to and from school.  It is at these times that public perceptions of our school are influenced, and we are sure you will agree that it is important that our school continues maintain its excellent reputation in this area.

All pupils, including the few who travel home during lunchtime, are prohibited from using the local shops.  We have previously requested that pupils should not be using the local shops after 8.30am unless accompanied by a parent or carer.  This is essential in order to allow pupils enough time to be on the school premises by 8.50am to determine a prompt and punctual start to the school day. In addition I would be grateful if you could remind your child regarding acting in a responsible manner regarding the disposal of rubbish.  This term the school is working with the pupils and the School Council to actively seek ways to reduce litter both on the school grounds and in the local community.

We greatly appreciate the high levels of support we always receive from parents and carers of our pupils, and feel confident of your assistance in this matter.

Thank you in anticipation of your support.

Yours sincerely

Mr J Walmsley
