In GCSE Photography you will complete a series of coursework projects and a final examination project over two years. You will learn to develop ideas and experiment with different photographic techniques, whilst realising exhibition outcomes for display. The course will introduce you to digital photography, and multimedia techniques.
A portfolio will be developed over the two year GCSE course and will culminate in a public exhibition, which showcases exam work and the developments throughout the course.
In this 2-year course, you will learn about how to use a digital camera and other lens-based media and computer software to complete a series of creative projects. The course will involve researching the different genres of photography from documentary/photo-journalism to commercial and fine art photography. The main emphasis will be on experimentation and development of ideas towards personal outcomes that shows a strong visual and conceptual understanding.
